Our Story
Homes not just built, but crafted.
Over five decades of building with purpose
For over half a century, Hicks Homes has been part of the fabric of the Thames Valley, crafting homes with care, skill, and an unwavering commitment to quality.
Rooted in Woodley, Berkshire, we are a family-run business with a passion for building not just properties, but places people are proud to call home. From characterful conversions and listed building restorations to thoughtfully designed new builds, our work blends traditional craftsmanship with considered detail at every stage.
Our legacy is built on more than bricks and mortar — it’s about trust, long-standing relationships, and a genuine dedication to doing things the right way.
Crafted with care
Whenever possible we employ local craftsmen who share our high standards. We are a family business, established in 1971, and take pride in our long-standing reputation for quality and customer service. People who know Hicks trust us to create homes that complement their local environment and delight their owners.
